Dallas, Texas baby!

Well, after Charleston, we had plans to head through Atlanta and stop and stay a night at Stone Mountain, but we were really pressed for time, so we’ve tucked those plans away for another day and drove on.  We stopped overnight in Jackson, Mississippi.  I’m sorry if you’re from there, but we rolled into town about 10:30/11:00 p.m. and got LOST trying to find our hotel.  Super scary.  All was well in the end though…we slept like rocks, woke up, ate breakfast and hit the road again.  We drove as fast as we could through Louisiana because it’s not our favorite either ;) and pressed on for that Texas border!

Woo-hoo!  Us native Texan’s stopped for a proud photo opp ;)

Then, my sweet husband took us for a slight detour through Jefferson, Texas.  It is a teeny-tiny little dot on the map that we had visited years before when some of our friends got married there.  I instantly loved the place, so we swung back through town to see if we still loved it and the answer is yes!   Their general store has GOT to be one of the best…we all contentedly spent an hour in there playing with all the knick-knacks!
